As the debut film for our brand, “Kinda Into Soccer” allowed us to put a flag in the ground to showcase the stories we wanted to tell while also illustrating our expertise for deeper athlete storytelling. 

our team had the privilege of being the first production team to shoot with Hudson, and we took that opportunity very seriously. we wanted to partner with hudson’s family to give hudson the exposure he deserves, while also being conscious of protecting his image with this piece.

as the USWNT prepares for their pursuit of a 4th star at the 2o19 world cup in france, nike has decided to use the 1999 World Cup Championship team - often referred to as the 99er's - and their jersey as inspiration for the US's new home kit. debuting the kit in los angeles against belgium, the same city where brandi chastain ripped off her jersey after that legendary moment in 1999, the SOCCER.COM content team decided to build off that momentum to tell two stories of two local players who were directly inspired & affected by the 99er's, and also continue to inspire the next generation of players to come.

Despite the North Carolina heat and trying to keep up with Andrew's pace on the Ronin-S, I'm so damn happy on how this came out. A couple post production tricks like scaling, sound design & quick cuts really helped keep the fast pace of this loop. My favorite part is when the sound cuts out and there's a wide of Andrew dribbling in the "zone."
